Campaign Jobs With Fair Share

Join the Campaign for a Fair Economy! Campaign Staff

Fair Share is currently hiring for fall campaign staff.  As a member of the campaign staff you help create a system in which every American gets a fair shot, everyone pays their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules.  Recent surveys have shown that most Americans are concerned about the lack of fairness in our economy.  Through door-to-door canvassing and grassroots fundraising your job will be to convert this interest into membership, funding, and political power for Fair Share Alliance.

Canvasser

As a canvasser you are joining the ranks of thousands of public interest leaders who have made a lasting impact fighting for economic justice, civil rights, women’s rights and the environment.

Specific job responsibilities include:

•    Fundraise for the campaign
•    Educate and activate the public
•    Gather petition signatures
•    Build membership

Leadership Roles

We offer leadership positions immediately to our most qualified candidates.  However, there is much room for growth in a campaign office.  Given our excellent training program, the opportunity to assume more responsibility is always available.

Field Manger
As a Field manager you will work closely with the canvass director to meet the goals of the office and have an even bigger impact on our campaigns. You will gain experience organizing the daily logistics of canvassing to ensure that we are reaching out to as many citizens as possible to win our campaigns. You will also gain valuable skills that you can put on your résumé, such as overseeing the canvass in particular towns or districts, managing 3-5 people every day, helping us to maintain financial integrity through good record-keeping and helping to implement the non-canvassing components of their office’s visibility strategy (media, coalition- building and petitioning).

As a Field Manager, you will:
•    Canvass daily, exceed minimum goals and set a high standard for fundraising, identify members, and engage in political activity in the field.
•    Train, oversee, motivate and evaluate canvassers.
•    Develop canvassing strategies to meet or exceed the campaign goals in a particular town.
•    Attend weekly staff meetings and periodic regional trainings and events.
